Two quad bike experiences at Lac du Salagou: exceptional landscapes, terroir and encounters

Children can ride as passengers from the age of 6, or once they are at least 1.10 m tall. They must be able to sit properly and hold on safely throughout the ride.

The driver must hold a valid driving licence and show the original on the day of the ride. Photos, photocopies or screenshots of the licence are not accepted.

If your licence has been lost or stolen, the official certificate issued by the ANTS after you report the loss or theft is accepted.

No. No previous experience is needed. You are given a handling session and safety instructions before setting off. However, each driver must be able to control their vehicle and follow the guide's instructions.

No. For insurance reasons, the driver registered at the start remains the driver of the quad for the whole ride.

The total weight of driver + passenger is generally limited to 150 kg. However, we have a few quads that can take a higher weight. Please contact us before booking so that we can check the right option for you.

Yes, we have already welcomed pregnant women on our rides. However, it is up to each woman, depending on her situation and her doctor's advice, to decide whether this activity is right for her. Naturally, we cannot take the place of medical advice.

Our quads may suit some people with reduced mobility: the throttle is operated by hand, and braking can be done from the handlebars or with the foot.

What matters most is being able to get onto the quad, drive it safely and stay in that position long enough. If you are unsure about your own situation, contact us before booking: we can explain exactly how the quad works so that you can decide whether it suits you.

Our outings are first and foremost discovery rides. We ride through a remarkable and partly protected natural environment, so this is not about speed, obstacle crossing or sport quad riding. The pace lets you enjoy the landscapes, the heritage and the area while respecting the places we pass through.

Our rides mainly use Hytrack 350 cc quads, well suited to discovery and trail riding.

Our rides run from two quads. If you would like to book a single quad and no other participant has signed up yet, you have several options: join a ride that is already scheduled, book two quads, or keep your request on the chosen time slot while waiting for another quad to sign up. In that case, the departure can only be confirmed once the minimum of two quads is reached.

No! The stated duration covers the whole ride, and you do not sit on your quad non-stop. Several stops punctuate the route to take in the landscapes, listen to your guide's explanations, take photos or simply have a break.

These stops are especially welcome with children: they can get off the quad, stretch their legs, and have a drink or something to eat before carrying on.

The ride is designed precisely as a discovery experience, not as several hours of continuous driving. The various breaks let children get off the quad regularly and make the outing much more enjoyable for them.

Yes, of course! The breaks are a chance to have a drink or a small snack.

We strongly recommend bringing water, especially in summer. We always carry some to help out the more forgetful, but it is better to have a little too much than not enough!

Closed shoes are compulsory. Otherwise, choose comfortable clothing suited to the weather: shorts are fine when it is hot, trousers when it is cooler. Also remember sun cream in summer, and suitable protection if the weather is cooler.

Yes, helmets and gloves are provided. You are nevertheless welcome to bring your own equipment if you wish, provided it is suitable for quad riding and officially approved.

Simply arrive at the time shown on your booking confirmation, usually 8:30 am for morning departures and 1:30 pm for afternoon ones. These times already allow for everything needed before departure: formalities, equipment and the quad handling session.

We will of course do our best to wait for you, within reason. A delay of up to 10 minutes can be tolerated. Beyond that, we will unfortunately have to start the ride so as not to penalise the whole group.

Yes, a deposit of €800 per quad is required before departure. We prefer a deposit cheque, which is simpler to manage. If you are booking several quads, a single cheque can cover them all, for €800 × the number of quads. If you do not have a chequebook, a card deposit may exceptionally be accepted. Feel free to contact us before you come.

A few drops of rain do not necessarily stop us from setting off! However, the decision to cancel a ride lies with Fred, your guide, who will never take any risk with safety.

And between us, as Fred is not a great fan of rain, he will generally be more inclined to postpone than to make you spend 3 hours in the wet… unless you are the ones who really want to go!

If the ride has to be cancelled because of the weather, you can choose between postponing to another date or a full refund.
